Whenever I’m craving something sweet but don’t want to spend a long time in the kitchen, these easy Nutella puff pastry croissants are one of my favorite treats to make. You only need three ingredients, and they come out beautifully golden, flaky, and filled with warm, creamy Nutella.
I love making them for a quick weekend breakfast, an easy brunch treat, or a last-minute dessert. They look like something from a bakery, but they are incredibly simple to prepare with store-bought puff pastry.

Yield: 8 croissants
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed, about 8.6 ounces
- ⅓ cup Nutella
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Powdered sugar for dusting, optional
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll or unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface. If the pastry is rectangular, gently roll it into a rough 10- to 12-inch circle and trim the edges as needed.
3. Spread the Nutella evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edge.
4. Cut the pastry into 8 equal wedges, just as you would cut a pizza.

5. Starting at the wide end, roll each wedge toward the pointed end. Gently curve the ends inward to create a crescent shape.
6. Arrange the croissants seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with the beaten egg.

7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the croissants are puffed and golden brown.
8. Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

These Nutella puff pastry croissants are irresistibly delicious, especially while they’re still slightly warm and the filling is soft and creamy.
Tips and Variations
Make sure the puff pastry is thawed but still cold. If it becomes too soft while you are shaping the croissants, refrigerate it for about 10 minutes before baking.
Avoid spreading the Nutella all the way to the edges, as some of the filling may leak out while the croissants bake.
For a different sweet filling, try peanut butter, another chocolate-hazelnut spread, or small pieces of your favorite chocolate bar.
You can also make a savory version by replacing the Nutella with cheese or a small piece of fully cooked sausage.
I love how something so simple can taste like a bakery treat. Serve these Nutella croissants slightly warm with a little powdered sugar on top, and enjoy every flaky, chocolate-filled bite.
