Easy High-Protein Chicken Wraps

Fresh grilled chicken wraps with egg, lettuce, tomato, and creamy mayonnaise in a soft, warm tortilla.

These easy grilled chicken wraps are fresh, simple, filling, and perfect for quick lunches or lighter dinners. The combination of juicy seasoned chicken, crisp lettuce, tomato, creamy mayonnaise, and sliced egg wrapped in a soft, warm tortilla is simple but seriously delicious.

One of my favorite things about these wraps is that they are perfect for using leftover grilled chicken. Sometimes I even make extra grilled chicken on purpose the day before just so I can quickly throw these wraps together the next day with almost no effort.

They’re great for busy weekdays, meal prep, summer lunches, beach days, or anytime you want something fresh and satisfying without spending too much time in the kitchen.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 5 small chicken breast fillets
  • 1 teaspoon spicy paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Olive oil spray
  • Lettuce leaves, washed
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 3 boiled eggs, sliced
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Crispy fried onions (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, add the chicken fillets, spicy paprika, garlic powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix everything well until the chicken is evenly coated. Let the chicken marinate for about 30 minutes if possible. If you are short on time, you can cook it immediately and it will still be delicious and flavorful.

2. Lightly spray a nonstick skillet or grill pan with olive oil spray and heat over medium heat.

3. Cook the chicken fillets for a few minutes on each side until nicely golden and fully cooked through. Try not to overcook the chicken so it stays juicy and tender instead of dry.

4. Remove the chicken from the pan and slice it into strips. Set aside.

5. Warm the tortillas in a nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side until soft and flexible.

6. Lay the warm tortillas flat on a clean surface.

7. Start by adding the lettuce leaves, then layer on the grilled chicken strips, sliced tomato, and sliced hard-boiled eggs

8. Drizzle with mayonnaise to taste. If using, sprinkle crispy fried onions over the top for extra crunch and flavor.

9. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly into wraps.

10. Serve immediately while fresh, or wrap them in parchment paper for easy lunches or meal prep.

Make It Your Own

These wraps are really easy to customize depending on what you have at home or what your family enjoys most. If you want them extra creamy, sliced avocado works perfectly here. You can also swap the mayonnaise for ranch dressing for a different flavor, or even add a little hot sauce if you like some heat.

For a richer version, try adding shredded cheese or crispy bacon. Spinach tortillas also work really well and add extra color and flavor to the wraps. If you want even more freshness and crunch, sliced cucumber is another great addition.

You can also easily switch the protein depending on what you have available. Grilled turkey works great, and crispy chicken makes these wraps even more comforting and filling.
