Easy Yogurt Dressing

Easy Yogurt Dressing Recipe (Healthy, Creamy & Ready in 5 Minutes).

This easy yogurt dressing is creamy, fresh, slightly tangy, and made with simple ingredients like Greek yogurt, lemon juice, mustard, and garlic. It is a lighter alternative to mayonnaise-based dressings while still being rich, creamy, and full of flavor, making it perfect for salads, wraps, tacos, pasta salads, grain bowls, or as a healthy dip.

I made it with Greek yogurt, fresh lemon juice, mustard, salt, freshly ground black pepper, and a little grated garlic. The garlic is optional, but honestly, it makes all the difference. It gives the dressing that extra savory flavor that works so well with pasta salads, tacos, wraps, fresh green salads, grilled chicken, or even as a quick dip.

It comes together in just a few minutes with ingredients you probably already have at home, and it is perfect when you want something creamy, fresh, and easy without making things complicated.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 1/2 cup (125 g) light plain Greek yogurt
  • Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated, optional but highly recommended

Instructions

1. Add the Greek yogurt to a small bowl.

2. Squeeze the juice from half a fresh lemon and add it to the yogurt.

3. Mix very well until the yogurt and lemon juice are smooth and fully combined.

4. Add the mustard, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

5. Stir again until the dressing looks creamy and evenly mixed.

6. Peel the garlic clove and finely grate it directly into the dressing.

7. Mix everything one more time until the garlic is fully incorporated.

8. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add a little more lemon juice for extra freshness, more pepper for a stronger flavor, or a little more salt if needed.

9. Serve immediately, or transfer to a sealed container and keep in the refrigerator.

Make It Your Own

You can easily adjust this Greek yogurt dressing depending on how you want to use it. For a fresher flavor, add more lemon juice. For a stronger savory taste, keep the grated garlic in the recipe. If you want it thinner for drizzling over salads, add a tiny splash of water and mix until it reaches the texture you like.

This dressing is delicious with pasta salads, tacos, fresh salads, wraps, grilled chicken, rice bowls, or as a lighter dip for vegetables. It is also a great alternative to mayonnaise when you want something creamy but fresher and lighter.

Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving, as the texture may thicken slightly after chilling.
